It sounds like the streaks on your scanned documents could be caused by debris or dust on the scanner's feeder rollers or the glass strip used for scanning through the feeder. Even though the main glass is clear, the small glass strip that the feeder uses might have some dirt or smudges that are causing the streaks.

I recommend cleaning the feeder rollers and the small glass strip located near the rollers. You can do this using a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a gentle glass cleaner. Make sure the area is completely dry before using the scanner again.
