To assist you accurately with setting up scan to email on your HP 5100 series printer, could you please confirm the exact printer type?

👉 Is it one of the following?

  1. HP LaserJet 5100 series
  2. HP Smart Tank 5100 series

These are very different models with different capabilities and setup steps.
 

Once you confirm which one you have, I’ll guide you step-by-step through scanning to email.
