I just bought a HP LASER JET MFP M234SDW printer. How to scan document to Electronic file

The HP Smart software has scanning capability to scan a document and print a copy of the document scanned.  I can not find software function to scan a document and save document to an electronic file like a pdf file.  Can this printer perform this function or not?
