I just installed OS sonoma on my mac and now I can scan on my officejet pro 7740

I have a MacBook Pro and have been operating fine with my Officejet Pro 7740 until yesterday.  I installed the OS Sonoma v14 and now the scan function won't work.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything and nothing is working.  Has anyone else had this problem with the Officejet and Sonoma?  

I really need the scan function to work.

I just installed Sonoma on my 24" M1 iMac desktop and my HP 6958 printer, which was working fine, is behaving strangely. Copy function prints very slowly and prints in red. Scan function will not save scans to desktop. Several other strange behaviors.

I have the same problem, but also, whilst I can see the printer on the WiFi network, I can't print using WiFi - it has to be an ethernet connection for me to have any use of the printer...  Why can't these brnad leviathans communicate with eachother before bringing out updates so that their customers don't have to experience such shoddy, useless, infuriating, time consuming and useless updates...?

I have the same problem. I can only scan using HP Smart online, but I cannot scan using either the computer apps or the scanner/printer itself. I am also having trouble setting up the wi-fi on my HP MW201dw printer (separate issue, but perhaps related to same Sonoma compatibility issue).
