Hi @Thisismylastres,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If HP Easy Scan isn’t working with your HP LaserJet MFP M127fw on your Mac, here are some alternative methods you can try for scanning:
1. Use Image Capture
- Open Image Capture: You can find it in Applications > Image Capture.
- Select Your Printer: In the left sidebar, select your HP printer.
- Choose the Scan Settings: Adjust the settings like file format and resolution.
- Scan: Click the Scan button to start scanning.
2. Use the HP Smart App
- Download HP Smart: If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
- Open HP Smart: Launch the app and add your printer.
- Select Scan: Click on the Scan option and adjust your settings before starting the scan.
3. Check Printer Connections
- USB vs. Wireless: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Mac, either via USB or over the same Wi-Fi network.
- Printer Status: Check the printer’s control panel to ensure it’s ready and not displaying any errors.
4. Update Printer Drivers
- Visit HP Support: Go to the HP support website.
- Download Latest Drivers: Ensure you have the latest drivers and software for your printer model. Install them and try scanning again.
5. Use the Built-in Scanning Option in macOS
- Open System Preferences: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select Your Printer: Click on your HP printer.
- Open Scanner: Click on Open Scanner and adjust settings before scanning.
6. Try a Different Application
- If none of the above work, you can try third-party scanning applications such as VueScan or ExactScan, which might provide additional functionality.
7. Restart Devices
- Sometimes simply restarting your printer and Mac can resolve connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
