I have wireless connection to a Officejet 8600 All-in-One Printer but when I scan to email the email it comes up with is a personal one and I wish to use my work email address instead.  How do I change the email address?

Update - Add "What if" section at the end of the message

The "send from" address can be edited.

Add your preferred / additional Sender address to Windows Mail.

Set up the scan job:

HP Smart Windows

Select to Scan Documents

Set job parameters and Scan / Import the content

After the scan is complete,

Select Share > Select Mail > Select the "Send from" address

When the Windows Mail app opens, add the recipient (Send-to) address

Adjust / Add your Message > Send the content

What if?

There might be problems adding a Work address to the "Send From" list in Windows Mail.

Windows Mail has no opinion about the address but the Work email setup might very well object to being added to Windows Mail or might balk at the "less secure" setup.  For example, Windows Mail does not handle "2-step" verification without an Apps Password already having been added to the sender email setup.   In other words, there can be no point at which the mail is stopped and blocked by the email provider for additional security checks.

There is no work-around or solution from the Windows Application side nor can HP Smart do anything about an Enterprise / Work email address that refuses to be added to Windows Mail, refuses to accept mail, or refuses to process that mail.  Work email servers are built to the particular company / provider standards.  In other words, email from outside of the work domain may - or may NOT - get permission to process on the company servers.
