We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Each time I scan, the scanner quickly scans to give me a preview (Im scanning at a high resolution).  Once I select to save it will commence scanning to get the true image.  Once completed it is set to open a window in explorer so I can view the file.  It does not and no file is in the destination folder I have selected.  I then clikc save and the process starts over again.  It was working fine.  Wondering how to resolve.

From the HP Scan software right click the used shortcut (e.g. Save as PDF) and then select Restore settings to factory default values.

 

first try scanning in its default settings again (300DPI) and check if that works, next select an higher resolution of 600dpi and try scanning again.

Hi,

The HP Scan preview always scanned on 300DPI.

 

When you scan in higher resolution the scan will not be saved during preview, it will be scanned again in higher resolution only once clicking Save, only then a file will be created in yoru destination folder.

Thanks Provost.  The issue is that this just keeps happening.  That is to say, I get the prview after the initital scan, click save, it scans at the high resolution and then I get the same window to scan again.  I never saves.  Just keeps rescanning.
