Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Officejet 6600
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am having an issue scanning to my MacBook Air using my officejet 6600. I think it started when I updated the OS to Mojave, because it worked seamlessly for years. When I click on "scan to computer" on the officejet, and then "scan as pdf", it says "initiating scan", but then I get the following error on my laptop:

Scan Failed

This workflow contains the action “Scan Items from HP Devices”, which is provided by a third party. Third party actions must be explicitly enabled.

I've tried searching with every term I can think of and can't find any description on how to remedy the situation!

Thanks for your help!

Mike Walsh

I totally uninstalled all HP software and then re-installed the drivers and and printer using HP's installation software and now it works well again. I'm not savvy enough to say for sure, but I think in re-loading the printer, the installation wizard identified the updated MAC OS and that fixed the problem. Maybe not, who cares?!
