Hi All,

I am having issues with my Deskjet 1050 printer Have installed the Print & Scan doctor, ran same with no issues popping up but the test print will not print. Scanner too will not scan comes up with an error msg asking to chk the connectivity. have reinstalled software but to avail, problem still persists. Have even used another printer cable but no success. Any suggestions on this

@kenmiranda, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print from the computer. Let us try these steps:

 

Make sure the cable is directly connected between the PC and the printer.

The use of a USB hub is not recommended. 

Do you have an Anti-virus/firewall installed on the Mac? If yes, disable the same for time being.

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
