Product: Officjet Pro X576dw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Smart V 128.1.219.0

I have run the HP Print/Scan doctor and no issues were fine.  Scanning by HP Scan from Document Feeder works fine but selected document feeder from HP Smart Scan, scans blank page.  Scanning from glass still works.  Worked fine before app updated today.

My HP Envy 7640 has the same issue.  It scanned from the document feeder just fine before the software update (HP Smart 128.1.219.0) and now it just gives blank scans when scanning from the document feeder.  It does scan from the glass, but that's a pain in the rear.  Running the  HP Print/Scan doctor shows no issues.

Facing exactly the same problem. HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw MFP.

 

Scanned just fine from the document feeder, double sided, prior to the update.

After the update first page is always blank.

We have the 576dw and the same issue. I can scan one page at a time on the flatbed, but not through the doc feeder. Those who have not updated, no issue.

I have the same problem with HP Smart 12.9.0 on my Envy 7640 printer on my MacBook Pro Catalina OS.

Got to be in the software because using the HP Smart software version 12.7.1 all works on my Mac Mini

as it should, it feeds through the document feeder and showes the page scanned.

I have exactly the same problem with my HP Envy 7640. It works fine with the HP Scan app, but HP Smart only produces blank pages when using the document feeder.

This looks like a bug in HP Smart (for Windows10) that needs fixing URGENTLY.

As it has been a month and no response from HP I looked around the Microsoft Store and HP has another Scanning app that seems to work properly.  As our printer is in an office ADF scanning is a must.  If anyone else needs a temporary fix:
