Load Multi-Page Feeder on Top, but Scan Bed Activates Instead

Hello, when I load a page in the feeder the scanner acknowledges it on the LCD panel by saying "Document Loaded". When I press the "scan to computer" option, the scan bed kicks on instead. I have downloaded the full software version and latest firmware. In the software, scan settings are set to "document feeder if loaded". 

Note: Instead of initiating a scan directly from the printer, If I initiate if from my PC software, the feeder works correctly. 

Note: I have the same results whether I use a USB or network connection.

The method, if there is one, to change the paper source for scanning from the printer itself, mght be located in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

This is where it gets a bit murky from my perspective.  Your Laserjet EWS interface is likely very much different (visually) than the EWS with which I am familiar (Officejet Pro printers). 

Maybe there is something in one of the Settings.

For example, take a look at whatever settings control Paper / Tray preferences.

Will that include "Source" for the ADF / glass?   Unknown.
