Product: 5742e
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Support Assistant told me to update the drivers and software for my 5742 all-in-one. After I did this the scan dialogue changed (from 2014 to 2015 version) and I can no longer scan 2-sided documents, the dialogue box only allows 1-sided selection. This is most inconvenient. How can I get 2-sided scanning back please?

Hi,

Download and use HP Scan Extended below, it will orivde 2 sided scan capabilities:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

 

It will be installed under All Apps > HP > HP Scan Extended.
