Windows 10 64 bit

 

After software upgrade the automatic duplex scanning does not work any more.

In HP Scan I can only select "1-sided", the dropdown does not provide 2-sided.

 

All was fine until a upgrade in early summer. Even the latest sw version from August did not fix it. German HP support is helpless and suggests to install the HP Scan and Capture App. That is a smartphone app, I cannot believe this is the propper solution for a business device.

 

Any experts here who can help? Thanks!

Please try this scan solution:
 
HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

Hello

 

You can contact the call center and request them to provide you the "Scan Extended software.msi"

this should fix the problem.

I am sorry that you have been experiencing an known issue  we have identified.  HP has been working on a new fix( not the one in Aug)  and shall be available as soon as possible. but if you have any urgent request, I would suggest you to reach HP support and get your case logged for further assistance.
