MFP M283fdw scan from panel

Hi,

i'm trying to scan multiple sheets from adf using the printer's display.

i'd like to have pdf output.

I noticed that, althouth the printer recognises the sheets in adf, it scans only by flatbed and opens the default windows scanner app.

i can get only jpeg.

ADF  scan (and pdf output) is possible only opening and using the sw HP.

How can i set up the opening of hp sw instead of windows one?

and is possible to scan multiple sheets from panel and save directly pdf on computer?

Is this a sw bug?

PS: when i copy multiple sheet, adf works properly also from the display.

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Have you installed the HP FULL software solution?  If not, download and install from this link:

After that, Scan to computer > your computer should appear on the printer control panel.

Alternatively, you can scan to usb thumbdrive, scan to email, scan to google drive or dropbox.

hi,

i've already installed the sw.

using scan to computer from control panel shows me my computers but i can't choose anything else.

Scan starts and create  jpeg and open wia.

In wia i can have different prifles but pdf is not avaliable.

I can scan pdf on network folder and also to mail.

fom me is essential to scan pdf directly to computer starting from printer's control panel.

In HP scan program (or hp smart) i can't find any option to manage printer's control panel and scan to pc .

Also in advance options tab.
