Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  Is the printer model HP OfficeJet Pro 7740?

 

Are you trying to do a scan or copy?  If it's scan, are you using the HP FULL feature software?

 

If you are using the HP Scan software (from the HP FULL feature software), do ensure that the Source is set to "Document Feeder if loaded".

 

Example:

 

HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Use Document Feeder if loaded.jpg
