macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I installed the latest drivers for my HP Officejet Pro 8710 all-in-one printer on my MacBook Pro laptop that uses the OS X (10.13 High Sierra operating system). The problem? I can send test pages and they print, it recognizes my routers IP address, it will scan, even save an image into this mac laptop. But it will NOT print. In fact no matter what I do the queue states the printer is in "idle" mode. It acts as if it's trying to fax. I've been through the printer utilities and it shows the correct printer. But will do everything else but print.

I have an Acer laptop with Windows.10 and have had NO trouble bringing up the HP printer program and printing anything I want on the printer.

I have uninstalled the old HP drivers and even installed the latest 5.1 version back into my Mac. Still no luck!

Would appreciate any advice you folks have!

Check the settings before you send the print job. Refer to the document HP Printers - Print Settings Guide (Mac) for help.

ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
