Hi, I used to do manual double-sided scans with the OfficeJet 6950 on my Windows computer. But now I switched to Mac and the HP Smart software does not offer the option of double-sided (manual) scan anymore. Could you please help me where to find this? Single-sided scan is not a problem. Many thanks for your help!

@Nadine8, Welcome to HP Support Community!
HP Smart does not support manual two-sided scanning. You can use the HP Easy Scan App to scan both sides. Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for help.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Thanks a lot, TEJ1602. I was on chat with the HP Customer Service. They tried everything, also the suggested and installed HP Easy Scan that you describe below. Strangely there is no option to choose "duplex scan" on the HP Easy Scan either. The answer from HP Support was that there is no solution for my problem at the moment on Mac, as MAC OS 10.15 has a lot of compatibility issues. But thanks a lot for your help. The document you linked to is very clear.

Operating System: MacOS 10.15 Catalina
Is the EULA
SmartScan dose not support Automated duplex scanning.
EasyScan is incompatible with MacOS 10.15 Catalina.
HP needs to do more to support the MacOS Community.
