Hi deskjet 4100. 3 days ago mobile fax worked 100% on my s23 mobile.
Today the hp smart app is saying no Internet connection. However there is Internet connection definitely!
Uninstalled hp smart and reinstalled and set up printer again. Still says no Internet connection. Re- booted all equipment. Still no joy. Why hp smart mobile fax not working? Feels like hp is blocking me, is that possible? And if so why? Used uk mobile 2 days ago to send fax to normal fax machine in my home to BT landline, (digital landline now). Mobile fax on app keeps saying no Internet connection.
Please help.

I understand you have trouble with the HP Deskjet 4100 series printer, using HP Smart Mobile Fax on a Samsung S23 (Android). Previously working perfectly, now shows “No Internet Connection” You’ve already reinstalled HP Smart, rebooted, and confirmed internet access.
1. Log Out and Back Into HP Smart
Sometimes your account session gets corrupted.
- In the HP Smart app > Tap your profile icon > Sign Out
- Close the app completely.
- Relaunch, sign in again.
- Try Mobile Fax again.
2. Check App Permissions
On your Samsung S23, check that HP Smart has the correct permissions:
- Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Permissions
- Ensure Network access, Storage, and Background data are enabled.
3. Test Over Wi-Fi vs. Mobile Data
Switch between:
- Wi-Fi and Mobile Data (4G/5G)
- Sometimes, one network path may be blocked from accessing HP’s fax servers.
