HP OfficeJet Pro 9014e All-in-One Printer

My HP OfficeJet Pro 9014e does not send scans to my computer when I use the Automatic Document Feeder but there are no problems with the flatbed.

I have bought this printer a week ago, and on the first test everything worked fine, but after that, all the scan to computer made from the Automatic Document Feeder, beside the printer says that the document was sent to the computer, nothing happens or appears on the computer (it does not open automatically the destination folder, and it does not show any scanned document).

Hi @ EduardoFerreira,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's frustrating when a newly purchased device starts having issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the scanning issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9014e

  1. Check Connection:
    • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer, either through a USB cable or via a wireless connection.
    • Verify that the printer and the computer are on the same network if you are using a wireless connection.
  2. Update Drivers:
    • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can visit the official HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  3. Software Reinstallation:
    • Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it. This can help to resolve any corrupted files or settings. uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software.
  4. Check Scanning Settings:
    • Ensure that the scanning settings are configured correctly. You may need to check the scanning preferences in the HP software on your computer.
    • Verify that the destination folder for scanned documents is correctly set.
  5. Firmware Update:
    • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can address known issues and improve overall performance.
  6. Test with Different Software:
    • Try scanning using a different scanning software (if available) to see if the issue is specific to the HP software.
  7. Disable Security Software:
    • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer and try scanning again. Sometimes security software can interfere with the communication between the printer and the computer.
  8. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Make sure your operating system is up-to-date with the latest updates from Microsoft. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
