Please I got my printer a few days ago. It prints with no issues but it doesn't scan. When I click on 'scan a document or photo' in HP Printer Assistant not big happens...absolutely nothing. I tried uninstalling the printer software and reinstalling its still the same issue. Please I need help urgently because I got the product primarily to scan things. Thanks

Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here.
 
I see that you are having issues with scanning from your Deskjet 2545 All-In-One Printer to your Windows 7 PC. I can help with that.
 
As you have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software what I would suggest doing is downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Once the Print and Scan Doctor has opened click on the printer in the window and click on on Next. On the next screen click on Fix Scanning. This should correct any issues with the scanning software on your computer. If any parts fail then please let me know what lines are printed in red and/or has any triangles next to it  and I will be able to assist you further.

It is networked to my computer.  It only scans when I do a test scan with Print & Scan Doctor.  I have tried everything I know to scan normally.  It will not, except with Scan Doctor.  The message is the the printer "is not found".   It prints fine.  Never a problem printing.  What to do?
