We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I tried installing HP Print and Scan Doctor but it found no issues. Then I installed latest drivers and software on a new PC but still no luck. After that I tried resetting the printer. Printer is working fine but I had no luck when scanning the documents. I tried scanning using my macbook, windows 10 PC and via the hard buttons on printer. It is not scanning.

 

Please help me figure what the problem is.

Are you able to make a copy?

 

On your Windows Computer, try these steps:

 

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

 

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Thanks for replying.

As I informed earlier, I have even tried installing printer drivers on a new pc (No HP printer software or driver was previously installed on it). I maybe wrong but I don't think it's something related to windows drivers. It's related to printer firmware or hardware. When I try to scan and print a copy via printer only (Hard Buttons of printer, without connecting to any PC) I get nothing and printer won't scan the document. And it outputs a demo page of HP.

Please help me figure out what's wrong.

Scanning and Copying, both are not working. Is that correct? 

 

Please try these steps -

 

1) Take out the cartridges. 
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 
3) Wait for 30 seconds.  
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
