Hello

My printer-scanner Color laser jet  MFP M177 fw does printing and copies well, but when I try to scan through the HP app, the answer is

" scan failed". It is not a new machine,  but has had no other pb so far. While online printing works, the app also messages " the printer is not connected".

By the way, I wonder if there is a button on the machine for scanning, like the "copy""print" "fax" that are already seen on the printer screen, to command  scan likewise?  it is weird that other functions can be controlled directly from the machine screen.

Can you download and install the full-featured printer software from HP for your operating system?

 

https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m177-series/5303438/model...

Once you have downloaded and installed the full-featured software, you will be able to print and scan.
