My new HP laptop (Model:17-by4013dx) cannot find the fax/modem on my HP officejet 3830 all-in-one printer/scanner/fax machine. It prints fine. It also faxed fine with my previous HP laptop. When I select print a document on my laptop, the fax option brings up the window to connect to a fax modem. I've tried to do that but nothing works. I've tried adding device and that doesn't work. I ran fax test and the printout said it was successful but the message on my screen said it failed. There was nothing on the hardcopy listed as a problem that I can troubleshoot. I want to be able to fax from my computer. "Fax" is listed with my printer in Devices and Printers; the Model under Properties says "Microsoft Shared Fax Driver." How can I get this working?
