Hi @Frank547,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the PIN provided on your printer isn't working to connect it to Wi-Fi, you have a few options to troubleshoot the issue:
- Double-check the PIN: Ensure that you are entering the PIN correctly. Sometimes the characters might be hard to distinguish, so make sure you're entering the correct sequence.
- Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup): Many modern routers and printers support Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), which allows devices to connect to the Wi-Fi network without entering a PIN. Check if your printer and router support WPS, and if so, follow the instructions to connect using this method. Please refer to this Video: How to Find the WPS PIN to Complete Printer Setup
- Connect via Wi-Fi Direct: If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can connect it directly to your device without needing to join your Wi-Fi network. Look for Wi-Fi Direct settings on your printer and follow the instructions to connect.
- Reset the Printer Network Settings: You can try resetting the network settings on your printer and then attempt to reconnect it to Wi-Fi. Refer to your printer's user manual or support documentation for instructions on how to perform a network reset.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues and improve functionality, including Wi-Fi connectivity. Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2700e All-in-One series
