My printer stopped Scan suddenly yesterday, and is not working today . It's printing normally . My internet is working well , the phrase that appears is : IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO COMUNICATE WITH THE SCANNER .  Then : CAN NOT DELETE OUTPUT FILE . So , If someone can help me .

It sounds like you're facing a frustrating issue with the scanner feature on your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2774, even though printing works fine. 

 

Let’s go through some steps to try to resolve this:

 

1. Check Scanner Connection

Ensure that your printer is connected to your computer properly—this could be via Wi-Fi or USB.

If you're using Wi-Fi, ensure both the printer and computer are connected to the same network.

 

2. Restart Devices

Turn off your printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

Restart your computer as well to clear any temporary issues.

 

3. Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. 

 

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the link below to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks known to resolve this issue. 

When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.

4. Check Scanner Driver

Go to the HP Support website Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support  and download the latest scanner driver for your DeskJet Ink Advantage 2774.

Uninstall the current driver (if it's corrupted), and then install the newly downloaded one.

 

5. Run Windows Scanner Troubleshooter

Open Windows Settings > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Find the “Scanner” option and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.

 

6. Check the HP Smart App

If you’re using the HP Smart app, ensure it’s updated to the latest version.

Re-add your printer in the app and try scanning again.

 

7. Permissions for Output Folder

The "CAN NOT DELETE OUTPUT FILE" error might suggest an issue with the scan file's save location:

Check the output folder specified in the scanner settings.

Ensure that the folder exists and that you have write permissions for it.

Try changing the output folder to a different location (e.g., your Desktop) in the scanner settings.

 

8. Disable Firewall or Antivirus Temporarily

Sometimes, firewalls or antivirus software can block the communication between the scanner and the computer. Temporarily disable them and see if scanning works. Don’t forget to enable them afterward.

 

9. Try a Different Application

Test scanning with another program, such as Windows Fax and Scan or Paint, to see if the issue is specific to the HP software.
