Can I get a firmware update to update my HP Officejet 9025 All-In_One printer to include ID card scan so I can print both front and back of an ID card on one page.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Follow these steps to do an ID card copy:

1. From front panel select "Copy"

2. Select "ID card"

3. Press "Copy"

4. Follow the instructions to place ID card on the flatbed scanner then start copy

5. Flip the card over to scan 2nd side as instructed

6. Continue Copy and it will scan and print both sides onto 1 piece of paper.

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately my supposedly "Smart" OfficeJet Pro 9025 All in-one printer is pretty "Dumb" and does not offer an ID copy option.
If I had known this option was not available for this model, I would have purchased a different model or a different manufacturer, I wouldn't mind but trying to get any technical information from HP like a possible firmware option to change the above status is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
I replaced my old HP Photosmart 7520 which had an option to copy several items to one page with the above model thinking it would be an upgrade, how wrong was I?
My bad for choosing HP, lesson learned.
Not happy at all with HP, having to scan and print two separate pages to print both sides of an ID card in 2022 is outrageous and it's certainly not environmentally friendly.

Hi,

Are you able to take a photo of the Copy menu?  The steps we shared were from the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025.

What Firmware version does the printer has?

Thanks.
