I bought the HP Officejet 6500 Pro when it first came out. I had problems getting the driver to work. After hours on the help line, none of the staff (including supervisors) could get the proper Officejet 6500 driver to work, so they set me up with the Deskjet 9800 driver so I could at least print (only).
Now I want to start using the scanner, and I am hoping that the bugs in the Officejet 6500 driver are worked out. Has this happened? Should I try installing a new version of the right driver or is there another solution that would work?
I'm running Windows 10 (64 bit) on an HP Envy laptop. Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-6500-all-in-one-printer-series-e709/37...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
Hope that helps.
