I have a Synology Diskstation DS918+ and a new HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3302fdwg.

Unfortunately I can't get the network scan set up. It worked with the old HP printer (M281), so I don't think it's the Synology Diskstation's fault.


The new printer menu is structured completely differently. Can someone help me here?
Is there an error message somewhere where the problem lies? Do I need to activate any services?

 

I used the same network path as with the old printer:
\\192.168.1.101\documents\Google Drive Cloud Sync\HP Scan Folder

True - The new format EWS is indeed different.

 

Possibly the following will help.

 

Reminders

  • Check that the Synergy destination is set to use SMB2 / SMB3 -- "Old" settings might have only included SMB1.
  • Recheck that the NAS / Synergy folder is Shared AND is in Group "Everyone" or equivalent.
  • Manually check the destination to be sure you can read / write to the destination folder.
