Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer updated to "Windows 10" I do not seem to have the option to save a scanned document as a pdf. The drop down menu does not give me pdf as an option.

 

The default setting is "photo" and there is no option to scan multiple pages into one document. This is really annoying because it was fine before and I just don't know how to change settings or even if it can be changed.

 

Hope someone can help me with this.

If you have not done so, remove the exisitng printer software, download and install the Full Feature Software.

Install Full Feature Software – Printer

 

NOTE:  If the computer has been recently migrated to Windows 10 or if you need to re-install the printer software:

 

  1. Create a Restore Point >
  2. Download a fresh copy of the Full Feature software >
  3. Remove any existing printer software from Programs and Features / Apps and Features / All Apps >
  4. Restart the computer and log in >
  5. Install Full Feature Software (find in your Downloads folder > Double-Click on the file) >
  6. Restart the computer and log in to finish the installation

  • Preparation
  • Extras and Optional > HP Information, Diagnostics, and Installation Help
  • Create a Restore Point
  • Remove Printer Software
  • Download and Installation
  • Restart Everything
  • ...

 

Also:  Update your Adobe Reader DC to the latest version
