After setting up email scan, and testing (works), there is no actual option use it:
With scan to computer, Webscan does the right thing, but there is no similar option under Scan to Email

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand the scan to email feature is not working.
Please try the steps and let me know how it goes.
1. Check Internet Connection
- Ensure the printer is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- If using Wi-Fi, restart the router and reconnect the printer.
2. Enable Web Services
- On your printer's control panel, go to Settings > Web Services.
- If Web Services is off, turn it on and enable Scan to Email.
3. Verify SMTP Settings
- Go to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing the printer's IP address into a web browser.
- Navigate to Scan > Scan to Email > Outgoing Email Profiles.
- Make sure SMTP server settings (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) are correctly entered:
- Gmail: SMTP Server – smtp.gmail.com, Port – 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Outlook: SMTP Server – smtp.office365.com, Port – 587 (TLS)
- Enable authentication and enter your email credentials.
4. Check Firewall & Security Settings
- Ensure your firewall or antivirus is not blocking the printer's email function.
- If using a company network, check with IT support about SMTP restrictions.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit HP Support and check if there's a firmware update available for your printer.
- Install the latest updates and restart the printer.
6. Reset the Printer
- Power off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Try scanning to email again.
7. Test with HP Smart App
- Install the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile.
- Use it to scan and email the document as a workaround.
