I have not had a problem until today, I have a Dell with Windows 10 and my Printer/Scanner is HP OfficeJetPro 9010, I am not able to scan to my computer any longer, I have not changed anything on my computer. Very frustrating. I tried HP Scan Dr. and nothing came of it, it says everything is fine.

Hi @cjjensen,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with scanning to your computer using the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 and a Dell computer running Windows 10. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to your computer and is powered on.
  • Verify that the USB or network cable is securely connected.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your computer and the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010. This can help refresh the connection and resolve minor glitches.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the official HP website. This tool can identify and fix common printing and scanning problems.
  • If you've already tried this and it didn't help, consider running it again to see if there are any new insights.

Check HP Printer Software:

  • Ensure that the HP printer software is installed on your computer and is up to date. You can download the latest software and drivers from the official HP support website.

Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service:

  • Ensure that the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is running. To check this, press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Look for "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)" in the list of services and make sure it's set to "Automatic" and is running.

Firewall and Antivirus:

  • Check your firewall and antivirus settings to make sure they are not blocking communication between your computer and the printer. Temporarily disable them for testing purposes.

Scanner Software:

  • Ensure that you are using the correct scanning software. Sometimes, using the default scanning software that came with the printer can resolve issues.

Reinstall Drivers:

  • Uninstall the HP printer software from your computer, restart it, and then reinstall the latest drivers and software from the official HP website.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your Windows 10 operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any available updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
