Dear Team,

As you can see in the attached picture, I'm unable to create scan folder in the HP software. For my office we needs to scan in the shared scan folder but we do not have the option for creating one folder here. Please suggest how to create one common Shared Scan Folder. It is very hard & time consuming for scanning using HP Smart APP. Kindly requesting for the suggestions. Thank you.

Dear Team, 

My problem is when I open the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) using ip address of the printer in the Google Chrome, There is no option called "Scan" is available. Only there is 3 options 1. Home 2.Information 3. Maintenance. These are the only 3 option available. How can I bring the option called Scan in the HP LaserJet 178mfp NW printer.

Please see the attachment & Kindly advice.

I am sorry to hear that the above steps did not help much but i do appreciate your efforts in performing the troubleshooting steps.

 

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

 

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

 

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

C) Refer to the steps on this link once again on how to set it up and let me know if that resolves the issue.
