OCR Function

My printer, bought in january 2020, doesn't scan in OCR:

-why?

- there is a solution?

- which App, Sw, or driver can be usefull to have a solution and is the better?

Not sure "why" - According to the Specifications, the printer software should include the option.

If you have not done so, download-save-install the driver set located on this web page:

HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

As well, if you have not done so, install both the HP Smart Application and (because the printer likes to have it), the Adobe Reader DC software.

Open the Software and Drivers Support Website for your printer > Check the Box Get the App

Adobe Reader DC – Needed Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

Adobe Reader DC software should be installed even if you do not open / view / print PDF files directly from the software.

If all else fails, there are free OCR options available - which one you use depends on your needs, and what is available in your location.
