Hello, can anyone advise me on how to get OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software installed and working with the HP Envy 5030. Did you have to buy some software? If so, what did you buy? Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

There is a "Save as Editable Text (OCR)" option for the HP Scan (with HP FULL solution software.

 

Install the HP FULL software:

At time 1:15, you can see there is a "Save as Editable Text (OCR) option.
