Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-4650-all-in-one-printer-seri...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
Scan 2 sided requires the user to reload the document back into the Automatic Document feeder. The model ADF only scans 1 side. Use the HP FULL software Scan to select 2 -sided scanning.
