OfficeJet 4655 scanner doesn't connect to computer. There's no "Manage Scanner" in Printer Assistant

HP OfficeJet 4655 no longer connects to my computer and there isn't the "Manage Scanner" in Printer Assistant.

Currently using Windows 8.0

The printer software might be corrupted -- or, like you say, the printer might not be connected to your network.

Try / Consider

Restart Everything, including the router that controls your network.

Next,

Completely uninstall the printer software,

Restart the computer and log in.

NOTE

If you have installation problems -- for example, you see "Driver Unavailable" or other weird messages >>

Add the steps in Check and Remove to remove any pieces of software that might remain stuck in the file system.  Example below in section References / Resources

If any "remove" changes are made, Restart the computer and log in

Next,

Download, Save, Install the Web Pack installation package

Restart the computer and log in
