Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I am so frustrated with the 7740 software.  My last HP all in one didn't need to connect to the internet to scan from the feeder but this one won't do it without the HP Smart Scan connecting to the internet. 

I cannot connect the computer to the internet and want to be able to use the feeder to scan.  Does anyone have a work-around?

Hi,

Download and install the HP Full Feature Printer and Software for your printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ7740/Full_Webpack-40.16.1234_1-OJ7740_Full_Webp...

 

Following the installation you may scan using HP Scan from the HP Officejet Pro 7740 software on your PC, or from your printer front panel by selecting Scan > Computer and select your computer name.
