Thank you for the link to the installation software. I ran the s/w but unfortunately the set up did not complete. There was an error message saying the app was not compatible with my version of Windows 11. I have the latest s/w update.

Also during the set up the computer did not recognize the printer. I did the usual switch off/unplug etc. Didn't help. Strangely I can print a test page which shows 4500 G510g-m, and the printer driver type and version.

Recently I was able to use the HP Scan app to successfully scan documents. That app now shows the printer as off-line.

I just found the windows Fax and Scan app which scanned a document. So ...??

Any ideas? Thanks for your help

Thanks for the advice and link to the video explaining how to change compatibility to install using Windows 8. But I still get an error message saying the program cannot run due to security or other issues and the program did complete its installation.

Not sure what to do.

Buy a new printer?
