HP Photosmart C510 eFax quit working. It says can't make internet connection when trying to fax, won't receive a fax either. All other features fine and wireless network looks good.

I understand that the eFax is not working on HP Photosmart C510 printer. I am afraid that this feature is no longer available on this machine. As of September 1, 2016, Web Services stop working and are no longer supported on select printers. I am afraid your printer is one among them. HP eFax feature is one of the web services which is not supported on your printer. Please check https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4152459-4016255-16 for more details.

 

As an alternative, I suggest using the internet fax services to send faxes. Run a Google search for internet fax and you might find some promising results.

Thank you for the information. I think HP should have notified all customers that this was going to be done. I spent hours troubleshooting this problem. Plese pass this conment on to management.  I'm sure they will lose some customers over this action.
