What does the red type sentence at the bottom of this field mean?
I have run MS Essentials, Spybot S & D and AVG, all of which produced 7 PUPS. Still I am not convinced that there is no malware on my computer. My problems are on a HP p6640f, Model BM422AA, . My printer is a 3050 A-I-O j610a, Model CH376A, . There is approximately 80% free space on the 1TB hard drive.
I can print but not scan. The printer tells me to scan from the computer. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to find out how to "scan from the computer." Finally attempted to download the Print and Scan Doctor in hopes of fixing my problem. I did this several times but I could never get it to finish the download. I finally suceeded but the page dissappeared before I could push the finish button. I was able to find the file sp74656,exe but itjust led me in a circle.
Finally, if the answer to the following question is NO, then I can solve my problems with a clean install using HP's RECOVERY D:.
If I make a Full Backup on a USB flash stick, will I be saving my problems and reinstalling them after the WIN7 reinstall??
I will be most appreciative for any answers or help you can give me.
Thanks Again

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Here's what we suggest:
Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:
1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)
The following resource will help you :
http://123.hp.com/us/en/
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
If you are not sure how to do this, the following resource will walk you through the steps:
How to Uninstall Download & Reinstall a Printer software
How to Scan to Computer
Once you have installed the software:
1. Click on the printer Icon (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.
2. Under the Scan menu, there is a “Manage Scan to Computer”, click on that.
3. Make sure that you “Enable” Scan to Computer. Also make sure the tab “Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows” is checked if you want to make this feature permanent. (the following video will show you how)
Scan to Computer
How to use "Scan to Computer" properly
Hope that helps!

Welcome- Let's get started page. 'Begin Button' does not energize. There is no drop down list to choose from. One of the links I was able to access gave a 404 error-'page not found'. Is it possible for a copy of the original instructions be resent.to my email address?
