Hi. This 3830 printer stopped making copies. It won't align or complete tasks. I just put in new black ink cartridge. It just buffers. I think it still prints, though. I turn it off and on, but that does not fix the issue. Do you have a fix, please? Thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are unable to make copies, but I am glad to assist you.
Are you getting any error messages while coping?
Are you able to scan and print?
Meanwhile:-
Check the scanner bar functionality: partially lift the scanner lid, and then press the Copy button or icon. If the scanner light does not illuminate or move across the glass then it should be a scanner issue.
Perform a power reset , and reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
