Depending on the model, the fax may be integrated into the main board. If that is the case, repair is likely not possible at a reasonable price. As there are no service manuals or parts lists for this product line I cannot provide a better answer than that. If you examine where the phone port is you may be able to determine if it is on the mainboard, based on proximity to other connectors like the network or usb.
