HP ENVY 5055
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

hi there gurus! i have an hp envy 5055, that prints just fine (wirelessly), but it's not scanning. its says "problem connecting to scanner", that the computer can't be found. so do i need additional drivers for the scanner? does the device need to actually be connected via usb/cord in order to scan?

i have windows 10 (not sure about the 'bit' tho?) again, i have no issues printing!  all help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community. Can you try the following:

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

Hope that helps.

i have the exact same problem with the Envy 5055. I've use the Scan Doctor. It fixes for a time or two, then goes back to the same issue. In sleep mode I have the error "0XD8077900 KERNEL_EXEC_ST".
