My printer shows as offline every time I try to print something, but when I try scanning wirelessly, it works perfectly fine. It's driving me crazy! It was working perfectly fine the last time I used it over a month ago. I've tried reinstalling the software, but the issue persists. I've also run diagnostics multiple times.
I’ve even tried using the HP Smart app to print, but the same issue occurs, only scanning works through the app.
Any help would be great, thanks!

Hi @SP_99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like the issue could be related to the printer's connection or settings specifically for printing, even though the scanning works fine. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve the "offline" printing issue.
Check Printer Status:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct network and not to a different one.
- Open the Printers & Scanners settings on your computer and make sure the correct printer is set as default.
- Try right-clicking the printer in your list of devices and selecting Use Printer Online.
Restart Everything:
- Power cycle your router, printer, and computer. This can resolve any temporary network glitches causing the printer to show offline.
Clear Print Queue:
- Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause the printer to go offline. Check your print queue and clear any pending jobs.
- You can do this by going to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer > See what's printing. Then, cancel any pending jobs.
Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Even though you've reinstalled the software, try removing the printer from your list of devices, restart your computer, and reinstall the printer driver.
- Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers specifically for your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw.
Check for IP Address Conflicts:
- Ensure that your printer has a static IP address assigned to avoid potential IP conflicts that could make the printer appear offline.
- You can check the printer's IP address from its menu, then assign a static IP in your router’s settings.
Disable "Use Printer Offline" Mode:
- Open the Devices and Printers menu on your PC, right-click the printer, and uncheck the Use Printer Offline option.
Check Network Settings:
- Verify that the printer’s wireless connection is stable. If possible, try connecting it directly via USB to see if printing works. If it does, it might indicate a network issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
