Printer/Scan signin

Dear All:

Maybe I'm late and missing some information, but I absolutely don't like the sign-in before I can use my printer/scanner.

I would like to disconnect my printer from the Internet, especially the scan function and use its all functions whenever I want without telling HP, that I'm doing something.

I buy my cartridges local.

My simple question: Can the sign-in disabled or not?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

True - HP Smart requires that you sign in to use the application.

Sign-in provides the foundation for the features supported in the application, including those used for accessing Internet / Share / cloud-based options. 

Personal choice.

Install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.

Full driver includes HP Scan - no sign-in required.
