I have scanned documents on numerous USB flash drives (including 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide SDCZ60). Prior to doing this, ALL the drives I used work and are recognized within a few seconds on my PC running the latest Windows 10 with no issues. The file(s) are scanned and saved on the flash drive with no errors or problems on the printer display.
Then, after inserting the USB flash drive in my USB hub (identical slot used prior), either the flash drive does not connect, or a message is displayed indicating that there is a problem with the drive. In the case of the latter, it gives me an option to "scan and repair" the drive. After it does it, I now can read the information on the drive. However, the flash drive that did not connect, never connects to the PC.
Interestingly these problems do not occur when the flash drives are connected to a MAC. In each case when I connect the different drives on the MAC, I can read the scanned files AND after ejecting the drive and reinserting it on my PC's USB hub, they seem to work without a hitch.
My conclusion is that the HP Printer adds or makes changes with some sort of information that causes problems on my PC..
Please help solve this issue because in the present mode I cannot use the system. - Thank you.
