Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Options:

Use HP Scan (part of the Full Feature Software) (No sign-in required)

Use HP Smart application > Sign-in to the application required

EWS - Scan to Email Setup

 

This printer supports using the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to configure / test / edit Scan to Email.

 

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Scan > Scan to Email > Scan to Email Setup

The installed Full Feature Software (full driver) can make use Scan to Email in HP Scan.

HP Scan requires that you have added your email address to an installed mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird).

 

Example

HP Scan to Email - PDF

Set main menu options

Open More > Destination

Adjust settings > OK to save and leave sub-menu

When ready, click Scan

HP Smart - Windows can "scan to email"

Add the email you will use (to send the scan) to Windows Mail.

 

Open HP Smart app

If you have not done so,

    Log into the HP Smart application using your HP Account credentials

Select Scan Document or Scan Photos

Set up and scan the content

Select "Share"

Select your sending email address

Mail opens

Set / Add Recipient(s)

Add Content (message)

Click to Send
