I am attempting to create a "Scan to network folder" capability. The printer is connected via a Ethernet. It prints fine. I can scan from the WIN10 PC via the HP program with no problems. When I use the "Scan to network folder" wizard, all goes fine until I save and test. Then I get the error: Your Printer cannot connect the server. Please edit to correct server name and address.". Have verified UID, password, IP address of printer and WIN10 PC, folder on WIN10 PC is shared, have set folder as private and then public - no change. Have used IP address and computer name in setting Network Path Name - no affect. I have changed SMB 1.0/CIFS File sharing support from unchecked to checked. No change in error: "Your Printer cannot connect the server. Please edit to correct server name and address." I have run tracert at the cmd line for WIN10 PC - successful, no errors.
Any suggested help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting printer connectivity to the server issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Turn On Web Services
-
Make sure the printer is connected to a wired (Ethernet) or wireless network with an active internet connection.
NOTE:
If you connect your printer to a computer with a USB cable, web-connected printing services do not work.
-
If your printer is connected with a wired (Ethernet) connection, check the cable and the lights on the printer’s Ethernet
port. The green link light should be steady, and the orange activity light should blink when the cable is connected.
-
If your printer is connected with a wireless connection, make sure the wireless feature is on and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
Some printers have a wireless icon
and a blue light on the front of the printer. If the printer has a blue light, and the light is on and not blinking, your printer is connected.
-
-
On your control panel, press the HP ePrint
icon.
If your control panel does not have an HP ePrint icon, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings to open the Web Services menu.
-
If a summary screen displays, Web Services is already on.
-
If a prompt to turn on Web Services or set up HP ePrint displays, follow the prompts to turn it on or set it up.
-
-
If you are prompted to update the firmware, press OK.

Sandytech20,
Many thanks for your reply. Bottom line up front - this did not work. Details:
I did make sure the printer is connected to a wired (Ethernet) network with an active internet connection. I can print from multiple computers with no problem. I can initiate a scan from various computers on my home network and the scan is successfully completed.
I did check the ethernet cable and the lights on the printer’s Ethernet port. The green link light is steady, and the orange activity light does blink when the cable is connected.
I did navigate on the control panel to the HP ePrint function. It stated it was off. I selected it, an "initiating connection" action occurred. Then I received: "Access Denied. The service may be busy. Retry later. If the problem continues, check for firmware updates."
I did check for firmware updates, and response was my system is up to date. Firmware date: 20201021
My configuration report states HP Web Services are Enabled.
What should I try next?
Standing by,
Dave
