My Envy Photo 6230 crashes deterministicaly on the first scan of the day. All lights start to blink and only a hard reset and restart bring any help. This happens every day, when I try to scan for the first time.
Is this a known firmware problem?

Hi @Afeitadora
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you
Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.
What application are you scanning from?
Is your printer connected to home network or public network?
How is the printer connect to the device USB or wireless?
Are you able to make copies using the printer?

Hi Jay,
thank you for assisting.
The printer is connected to the home WiFi and used for network and cloud printing/scanning. For scanning I mostly use the hp Smart application. I did not try to copy something yet. Scanning directly from the device works as well as long as it is not the first scan of the day (or having not used it for some time).
Greetings
Jan

Uninstall the HP Smart App and reinstall it and try scanning.
If the issue persists,
Let's try and uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.
--->In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
--->Select your HP printer.
--->Select Uninstall.
--->In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
--->In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
--->Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
--->Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
--->Click on the Drivers tab.
--->Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
--->Select OK.
--->Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
--->Close Devices and Printers.
And then reinstall the printer full-featured drivers from software and drivers page
Keep me posted!
