I tried to delete a document from the print que and it has been stuck in that mode for several days.  Subsequent print requests are backed up behind that document being deleted.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try these steps below:

Print Queue Reset:

Restart print services and clear the print folder:

  • Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services >
  • Scroll down, find, andStop Print Spooler Service
  • Delete files from C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
  • Start Print Spooler Service

If the issue persists, let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93

Let me know if this helps.
